The historic work of Isadora Duncan is presented as part of the company’s Masterpiece in Motion series, re-staged in 2019 by Andrea Mantell-Seidel but postponed due to COVID-19. One of the founders of modern dance, Isadora Duncan’s work in the early 20th Century brought intimate and human qualities to dance that were never before seen in the world of ballet with themes of solidarity and early feminism, ideas that resonate loudly today. Works include Ave Maria, the Harp Etude and selections from Impressions of Revolutionary Russia including “Dubinushka" and “Varshiavianka."

The evening will also include “Solstice” from guest choreographer Jon Lehrer as part of DNM’s New Voices initiative and the revival of Salterini’s “Three Moments in Time,” following a couple from first date to 10th anniversary. The delightful and rich Tomaso Albinoni score will be played live by the South Beach Chamber Ensemble rounding out an unforgettable evening of dance.
