Limón Technique Teacher Course October 12-13, 2024
For the first time, Daniel Lewis and Donna Krasnow lead this this two-day intensive course for dance teachers who wish to focus their teaching on the work of José Limón. Lewis is the former Artistic Director of the Limón Dance company and author of the Limon Technique Book. Donna Krasnow is co-author of Lewis' latest book "A Life in Choreography and the art of Dance", and has studeis under Lewis, developing a teaching curriculum for Limón Technique recognized across the world.

Participants will learn the movement concepts fundamental to the Limón philosophy: weight, fall and rebound, fall and recovery, succession, opposition, isolation, breath, and suspension. Additional elements include the use of rhythm and musicality specific to the Limón tradition, alignment, dynamics, use of space, and artistic expression.
By registering for this program, I hereby grant Miami Dance Futures, Inc., the Dance Now Miami Ensemble, Inc. (d/b/a Dance Now Miami), Armour Dance Theatre, Inc., Daniel Lewis, and Donna Krasnow (these entities may be collectively or each individually considered the "Producer") and their affiliates, successors, assigns, licensees, and agents the irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual right to film, record, and capture my likeness, image, voice, performance, and any statements or actions made by me during the Limón Teacher Course ("Course"). I understand that the recordings may be used, reproduced, distributed, edited, and displayed by Producer in any and all media now known or hereafter developed, for any purpose, including but not limited to educational, promotional, advertising, and commercial purposes. I agree that the film, photographs, video recordings, and any other reproductions (collectively referred to as "Materials") of me may be used in whole or in part, alone or in conjunction with other footage, and may be edited, altered, or modified at the sole discretion of the Producer. I understand that I will not have any right to inspect or approve the final product or the use to which it may be applied. I acknowledge that I will not receive any compensation, payment, or consideration of any kind for the use of the Materials. I agree that I have no rights to any royalties, profits, or any other benefits derived from the use of the Materials. I hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless the Producer, its officers, directors, employees, agents, successors, assigns, and licensees from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with the use of the Materials, including but not limited to any claims for defamation, invasion of privacy, or infringement of any rights of publicity or copyright.
I further acknowledge that participation in the Course may involve certain risks, including but not limited to injury, pain, suffering, temporary or permanent disability, and death. I understand that these outcomes may arise from my own or others' actions, inactions, or negligence, or the condition of the Course location(s) or equipment used. Nonetheless, I knowingly assume all related risks, both known and unknown to me, related to my participation in this Course. I hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless the Producer, its officers, directors, employees, agents, successors, assigns, and licensees from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with my participation in the Course, including but not limited to any claims arising from injury, illness, disability, or death.
